K9 Conditioning And Injury Prevention Workshops with Bobbie Lyons, Cert. CF

Why K9 Conditioning?

Whatever your activity of choice with your dogs, whether it be agility, flyball, herding, schutzhund, nosework, obedience, conformation or just hiking, making sure that your canine partner is up to the task is critical. Strength training is the missing piece of the puzzle for many K9 athletes. More time and money is spent on fixing dogs' injuries than preventing them. Learn exercises and techniques to build core strength, improve balance, increase flexibility and range of motion, build confidence, increase hind-end awareness, reduce the risk of injury and improve your dog's overall performance. The importance and benefits of warm up and cool down exercises will also be discussed and demonstrated.

Incorporating these exercises into your dog's routine is FUN and a great bonding experience. These exercises both physically and mentally stimulate your dog and are easily done at home. All the exercises taught have been reviewed and approved a professional in one of the fields of veterinary rehab, orthopedics or physical therapy.
