    Technique Training

    This seminar is open to all dog and handler teams that want to learn the techniques specific to the One Mind Dog system. It will cover one jump execution of the OMD techniques. (NOTE: many dogs will be on the floor at a time during this session) Dogs must have sit/stay, have been introduced to jumping, be able to work under high level of distraction and be a minimum of 12 months old. This seminar would satisfy the pre-requisite for Technique with Application Training with One Mind Dogs in April 2015 at A Click Above.

    Prerequisites: Dogs must be a minimum of 12 months old.

    Technique with Application Training

    The morning will focus on the training of OMD techniques. The afternoon will focus on applying techniques to coursework/sequences.

    Prerequisites: This seminar is open to dog and handler teams competing in USDAA Masters or equivalent.

    Participants must have completed at least 1 full day of technique in the last 12 months with an OMD Coach. The seminar must have been specific to OMD technique training. About Mary Ellen Barry

Mary Ellen has been involved in agility for 20 years and has had much success on both the national and international level. Mary Ellen has competed at the IFCS and WAO World Championships a total of 5 times with 2 different dogs and has won multiple medals at those events including 5 gold medals. She has placed on the podium at the USDAA Cynosport World games several times including placing 1st and 2nd with Maizy and E-Z at the the 2012 Dog Agility Masters Team Tournament and placing 2nd with Maizy in the 2012 Grand Prix. Mary Ellen and Maizy will be representing the USA again in 2014 on both the IFCS and WAO teams.

Seminar Details

All seminars and workshop will be held in our 100' x 125' climate controlled building. There will be a one hour lunch break each day. Lunch will not be provided, but there are many fast food restaurants and delis in the area within close driving distance. Maps of Leesburg restaurants will be provided. We will have coffee, tea, water, and light snacks.

Registration Information

Each seminar will be limited to 12 working teams. The cost for a working spot is $140 for current ACA students and $160 for general public, for one day. Auditing spots are available at $45/day or $75 for both days (no non-participating dogs in the building).

- Registration opens Sunday, February 15 for currently enrolled ACA students* and Monday, February 23 for the general public.
- Registration is online ONLY.
- Please make sure you have an account on the ACA website and can login before registration opens to avoid delays in registering.
- Working spot registrations are taken in the order received and are approved based on verification of eligibility**.
- A waitlist will be maintained once all working spots are filled.
- Confirmations will be sent within 48 hours.

* Current ACA students are defined as those that have taken four or more classes in the past year.
