K9 Conditioning Workshops and Private Sessions with Bobbie Lyons, Cert. CF

Why K9 Conditioning?

Whatever your choice of activity with your dogs, whether it be agility, flyball, herding, IPO, nosework, obedience, lurecoursing, obedience, or just hiking, making sure that your canine companion is up to the task is critical.

Strength training is the missing piece of the puzzle for many K9 athletes. More time and money is spent on fixing dogs' injuries than on preventing them. Learn how to:

  • Build core strength
  • Improve balance
  • Increase flexibility and range of motion
  • Build confidence
  • Increase hind-end awareness
  • Reduce the risk of injury; and
  • Improve your dog?s overall performance.

The importance and benefits of warm up and cool down exercises will also be discussed and demonstrated.

Incorporating these exercises into your dog's routine is FUN and a great bonding experience. These exercises physically and mentally stimulate your dog, and are easily done indoors at home in small spaces.
